My Christmas Break Reading List
One of the great things about the holidays is you get more time to read! There's nothing nicer than curling up by the Christmas tree with some hot chocolate to read a great book. I went to the library last week to stock up on my reading for the next week. Here's what made the list:
Twilight - Stephenie Meyer. I've been waiting to get around to this for ages
Love, Stargirl - Jerry Spinelli. I loved STARGIRL so I'm sure I'll love this too.
Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist - Rachel Cohn & David Levithan. The Longstockings know and love David and Rachel!
The Astonishing Adventures of Fanboy and Goth Girl - Barry Lyga. I've heard so many good things.
His Dark Materials Trilogy - Philip Pullman. This is a re-read, but I've been meaning to do it for a while.
What are you reading this week? I need some more recommendations in case I finish all of these!

As far as recommendations go, it really depends on what you've read. But if you haven't read any Libba Bray yet...now would be a great time. A Great & Terrible Beauty and Rebel Angels. The third comes out next week I believe, Sweet Far Thing.
DIARY OF A WIMPY KID
ABSOLUTELY TRUE DIARY OF A PART-TIME INDIAN
THE INVENTION OF HUGO CABRET
THE MODERN JEWISH GIRL'S GUIDE TO GUILT
LOVE, STARGIRL
yay for vacation reading!!!!
After I am done reading through Cybils Middle Grade nominees - many of which were great - I'll be treating myself to the stack of pretty, pretty YA releases that have been building up for the past month. The new Wendy Mass - Heaven Looks a Lot Like the Mall, the forthcoming Elizabeth Scott - Perfect You, and more.
I haven't read The Astonishing Adventures of Fan Boy and Goth Girl yet. Thanks for reminding me.
I recently read Before I Die by Jenny Downham. Very, very good.
Now I realize how little I've been reading. Thanks a lot! ;^)
I did enjoy "If a Tree Falls at Lunch Period" and I'm putting "Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian" at the top of my list because I'm starting to feel stupid for not having read it already.
Happy Holidays to you and to all the Longstockings.
If you enjoyed Fanboy and Goth Girl, I think you'd also like Queen Geeks in Love. It's a great sequel about four geeky girls banded together and in this episode and learning more about their relationships with each other while they deal with budding romantic relationships.
